Since 2003, thousands of families have been helped by Assisted Living Locators, one of nation’s leading senior housing placement services. Founded in 2003 by RN Angela Olea in Phoenix, AZ, the company spans the country with 42 locally owned offices in 16 states. Assisted Living Locators offers clients the best of both worlds – the attention and commitment of a locally owned business backed by the expertise and stability of a national organization.
The Los Angeles office is operated by Sarah Ordover, Assisted Living Locators LA Regional Director and President of Senior Living Advisors, the company that holds the franchise rights. With an office in Beverly Hills, Sarah and her team service clients from Los Feliz to the Beach, including Century City, Westwood, Santa Monica and everything in between. The office also represents clients who live south of Ventura Blvd in the San Fernando Valley in neighborhoods such as Sherman Oaks, Burbank and Studio City.
Meet the Team
Los Angeles Regional Director, Sarah Ordover, is a Certified Senior Advisor, author of the Senior Housing Insider Blog, and an “Ask the Expert” series in the Jewish Journal. An entrepreneur and social activist, Sarah found a way to merge her passion to make a difference with her ability to build and run successful companies with Assisted Living Locators.
Sarah grew up in NY and LA with an entertainment industry father. Helping her father through his last years, with all the attendant stress and confusion, gave her first-hand experience into the challenges facing families. Learning of Assisted Living Locators and how it eases families like hers through difficult times proved a “eureka” moment. Finally, vocation and avocation are joined together in a way she can effectively help others.
Over the course of her thirty year career, Sarah played an instrumental role in the development of the first online shopping service, did the PR for “Upstairs, Downstairs,” worked a consulting gig helping new technology start-ups throughout Europe, and started and managed a $4 million franchise in Eastern Iowa. Sarah also has spent countless hours working for the public good – as the multi-year Board President of a regional Planned Parenthood, as an advisor and board member of a low income housing development, as a Meals on Wheels volunteer, and as the Founder of the hugely successful NewBo City Market, a non-profit that addresses food desert issues by incubating small food entrepreneurs.
